New Pictures! Well....sort of

One day I was reading messages on Madeline's SWI Yahoo Group and came across a man who had pictures of Madeline from April and July of this year.  The two posted here are from July when she was 10 months old.  I'm still waiting for current pictures and an update.  But in the meantime, we will enjoy the pics we have!

What Do You Think??

Kristen
I finally figured out how to post Kristen's referral pictures.  I think both her and Madeline look a lot alike.  In fact when I first showed Walt the pictures of Madeline he had to take a second look because he thought it was Kristen.  Kristen was five months old in her pics and Madeline was seven months old.

Another step in the process down!  We just got an email from our agency letting us know that our offical log in date in China was October 26!  Now we wait for our Letter of Acceptance from China.  I hope to recieve that around the New Year!

DTC (Date to China)

This post is a little late.  Our computer broke and we have been without it for far to long!  Anyway our dossier was sent to China back on October 17th!  That means now we are waiting for China to send their offical word that all our papers are in order.  Hopefully (fingers crossed) this will arrive around the New Year's!  I dont' know what our actual log in date is yet but our agency said that happens within two weeks of our dossier being mailed.

I 797 Arrived!

Well to my shock, our approval from the US goverment arrived today giving us permission to bring an orphan into the country!  We weren't expecting it to arrive for at least another ten days based on current time averages which is currently 60 days.  This leg of the process took us a grand total of 45 days!  Fingers crossed everything will keep moving smoothly for us!

Happy 1st Birthday Madeline!

Well, today Madeline turned  one.  (Yes we decided on Madeline instead of Abigail or Lily.)  I hope she had a special day.  Next year we will make up for missing today.  In the meantime here is a picture of her when she was 7 months old.

It's Fingerprint Day!

Today we had our fingerprintins  done at the USCIS Philly office.  Unlike  our last adoption we didn't have to go down to center city.  Instead they had a support center in the northeast section!  Ironically we waited 40 days for the appointment and were there for all of 15 minutes.  Now, we are waiting for the approval to arrive and that is the last piece of info needed in order to have our documents sent of to China!  I hope it arrives the week of October 10th.

Biometrics Appointment aka Fingerprint Appointment

Today we recieved our fingerprint appointment notice!  It is scheduled for September 23.  We are going to try and walk in early because of our work schedules.  Now I really feel like we are making progress!

Introducing....

Today's big news made turning 37  (UGH)  a lot easier.  Today, China sent word to our adoption agency that we were preapproved to adopt our second daughter!  Although I cannot share a lot about her I can tell you that she is from the same provience as Kristen!  We hope to travel and bring her home in April.  We still have a lot of red tape to get through for both countires.  As for her name, we haven't decided between Abigail or Lily.

Homestudy and I800 Update

This week we sent off our homestudy and I800 form off to our new agency. (I will explain why we switched agency on another post soon).  We are moving along in the process.  Hopefully we will have good news to post soon!

Hello World!

Welcome to our blog!

This is my first ever blog post!  I decided that since I love to read other family blogs, that I would start one of my own. This blog will chronicle the ups and downs as we work to add another little girl from China to complete our family.  I will also be adding some pictures of what we are up to because my kids LOVE to see themselves on the computer.   Stop by anytime to check out what we are up to and where we are in the process of this adoption!
